Meet Tatiana Yaques

Fighting for Wellington’s Future. Protecting What Makes Us Home.

I’m Tatiana Yaques — an attorney turned small business owner, a mother of two, and a proud wife to a United States Marine Corps veteran who now serves as a band director at one of Wellington’s public high schools.

I’ll be honest — running for office was never part of my plan. I’ve never considered myself a political person. But recently, many friends, neighbors, and community members encouraged me to step up. After giving it a lot of thought, I realized something important: leadership isn’t about seeking a title — it’s about answering the call when your community needs you.

Wellington has been my family’s home for over 20 years, and like so many of you, I want to ensure it remains the safe, vibrant, and welcoming community that makes it such a special place to live.

After earning my law degree and building a successful career as an attorney in Palm Beach County for 16 years, I followed my entrepreneurial spirit and became the owner and CEO of a local business serving Wellington and the surrounding areas. My background in both law and business gives me a unique perspective on how local policies affect residents, small businesses, and the overall quality of life in our village.

I’m running for Village Council, Seat 2, to bring responsible leadership, accountability, and a community-first approach to local government — so Wellington continues to thrive for all stages of life, from children and young adults to working professionals and retirees.

My decision isn’t driven by ego or politics — it’s driven by love for this Village and a deep desire to see it governed responsibly, with vision and care. Wellington deserves thoughtful, steady leadership — leadership that listens, unites, and puts residents first. I truly believe I can help guide our community forward with balance, integrity, and care.
